Ashta Chamma (transl. A four-player board game ) is a 2008 Indian Telugu -language romantic comedy film written and directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti . The film stars Nani , Swathi Reddy , Srinivas Avasarala , and Bhargavi , with Tanikella Bharani in a supporting role.

Ashta Chamma was well received by critics and Nani's performance was praised by them. Sify.com wrote "Nani has a very good screen presence. He has good emotions and dances well, though his body language sometimes reminds of Subhalekha Sudhakar – May this be treated as a compliment to the ease that the veteran actor shows on the screen!

Indraganti signed his protégé Nani as the protagonist after being impressed with his performance as a selfish businessperson in Yevade Subramanyam (2015); it marked their second collaboration after Ashta Chamma (2008). [13] In February 2016 Nani was reported to play a dual role in the film and Srinivas Avasarala 's inclusion was confirmed. [14]
