Kim Il Sung (15 April 1912 – 8 July 1994) was the leader of North Korea for 46 years, from its establishment in 1948 until his death in 1994.. According to North Korean sources, the works of Kim Il Sung amount to approximately 10,800 speeches, reports, books, treatises and other types of works. [1]
In 2000, the representatives of the two governments met for the first time since the division of the Korean peninsula. Kim Dae-jung, the President of South Korea, who arrived at Pyongyang Sunan International Airport, met Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader of North Korea, directly under the trap of the airport, and the rallies and divisions of the People's Army Corps were held.

After Kim Jong Il's death in 2011, the Principles were updated to included his name alongside Kim Il Sung's with a new name: "Ten Principles for the Establishment of the Party's Single Leadership System (당의 유일적령도체계확립의 10대 원칙; Dang-ui Yuiljeoglyeongdochegyehwaglib-ui 10dae Wonchig)".
