The Angels were formed in Adelaide in 1974 by the Brewster brothers, John and Rick, together with Bernard "Doc" Neeson. The line-up of the band has since gone through numerous changes with Rick as the mainstay member. They are known as Angel City internationally (to avoid confusion with 70s glam-rock band Angel.)

Death Angel was formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1982 by guitarists Rob Cavestany and Gus Pepa, bassist Dennis Pepa and drummer Andy Galeon.
Christopher Mark Bailey (31 May 1950 – 4 April 2013) was an Australian bass guitarist and vocalist. He was a member of various rock groups including Headband (1971–1974), The Angels (1976–1982, 2008–2013), GANGgajang (1984–2013), and The Stetsons (1987, 1997).
Other groups created by former members included The Angels, the Original Angels Band, Rick Brewster's Angels, the Angels with Dave Gleeson, and The Angels 100%. In May 2005, Neeson also formed Red Phoenix, [29] and they released a self-titled album. [30] The group's lineup was Neeson, Hilbun, Northcote, with David Lowy and Fab Omodei.
In 1976, the Angels signed a recording deal with the Albert Productions label, [2] [4] upon the recommendation of Bon Scott and Malcolm Young (from AC/DC). The group dropped "Keystone" from their name to become the Angels and relocated to Sydney with the line-up of Neeson on lead vocals and bass guitar, King on drums, Rick on lead guitar and John Brewster on lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
Greatest Hits is a compilation album by Australian hard rock band The Angels, released in November 2011. Greatest Hits peaked at number 26 on the ARIA Charts. [1] It was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association in 2015.
