The entire facility was renamed to the Seattle Convention Center in 2022, with the first two buildings named "Arch" and the second expansion named "Summit". The convention center's largest annual events include PAX West (formerly the Penny Arcade Expo), Emerald City Comic Con, Sakura-Con, and the Northwest Flower and Garden Show.
The show's 65-75 seminar speakers include garden writers, authors and garden design experts from around the US, Canada, and UK. Those gamers extended the opportunity to gather at a convention which was to be called Dragonflight. Members of Western Washington Wargamers, an all-facets gaming group, convinced the Brass Dragon Society to embrace all gaming in the convention and joined in the effort to create the first Dragonflight in 1980.
