NTUC Downtown East is an entertainment hub located in Pasir Ris, Singapore. It is 147,000 square metres in area and was officially opened on 5 November 2000. It is run by NTUC club. It provides leisure and entertainment for families and youths. It competes with the two Integrated Resorts, especially Resorts World Sentosa.
Downtown East currently comprises D'Resort, Wild Wild Wet, Market Square (E!Avenue and E!Hub), and MUCE (Membership & Union Community Engagement). [18] E!Hub, a four-storey shopping and entertainment complex with a cinema, was completed in 2008. The site was previously a bowling alley building.
Escape Theme Park was an outdoor theme park located inside NTUC Downtown East, Pasir Ris in Singapore. When the former Escape Theme Park ceased operation on 26 November 2011, the site was used to make way for a bigger Water Park and Costa Sands Resort. Wild Wild Wet was closed from 23 July till 1 November 2012 for renovations that includes new rides and attractions. [1]
