The Beijing Chaoyang railway station has seven platforms and 15 lines (excluding two freight lines outside the station building) for a building area of 183,000 square metres (1,970,000 sq ft) after renovation. Chaoyang Men Station [1] (simplified Chinese: 朝阳门站; traditional Chinese: 朝陽門站; pinyin: Cháoyángmén Zhàn) is an interchange station on Line 2 and Line 6 of the Beijing Subway named for Chaoyangmen, an old gate in Beijing's city wall.
