A sequel to Duels of the Planeswalkers, titled Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, was released on June 15, 2011, for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. [8] The game includes new game modes, additional card decks, new computer opponents, and new puzzles.
The expansion featured three new decks, allowed players to play as the Archenemy, and added an Archenemy mode single player campaign and Archenemy challenge content. Three deck packs, each consisting of two new decks, were released on November 16, 2011, December 14, 2011, and January 11, 2012. These brought the total number of decks up to nineteen.
These decks can be used in the special Sealed campaign, and also in multiplayer. [2] The game, like all the previous installments, is priced $10.00 on all platforms. Additional slots for custom made decks can be purchased separately for $1.99. The sequel, Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015, was released in 2014.
