Lake Perris is an artificial lake completed in 1973. [1] It is the southern terminus of the California State Water Project , situated in a mountain-rimmed valley between Moreno Valley and Perris , in what is now the Lake Perris State Recreation Area .
From the terminus of the main California Aqueduct at Tehachapi Afterbay, the West Branch carries water to a second reservoir, Quail Lake, via the Oso Pumping Plant. The water then runs south by gravity to the 78 MW William E. Warne Powerplant, located on the 180,000 acre⋅ft (0.22 km 3 ) Pyramid Lake reservoir. [ 43 ]

Perris Auto Speedway, also known as the PAS, is a 1/2 mile clay oval track located at 18700 Lake Perris Drive on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds in Perris, California. The track features a raised backstretch offering fans a better view over the infield of the oval. The track hosts USAC/CRA sprint cars, street stocks, dirt modifieds, and many others.
