Aberdeen Wings (2010–present) The Odde Ice Center is a 1,600-seat multipurpose arena located in Aberdeen, South Dakota on the Brown County Fairgrounds. Built in 1980, it is home to the Aberdeen Wings of the North American Hockey League .
The Arena is located in the Barnett Center; which holds swimming pool, wrestling room, weight room, training room, auxiliary gym, eight locker rooms, classrooms and offices, plus a 160-meter indoor track and a wooden basketball court. [1] It was the Home of a Presidential visit to the Area by President George W. Bush October 31, 2002 [2]
In the 2013–14 season, the Aberdeen Wings had two players selected to play in the 2014 World Junior Championships for their home countries, including forward Lennart Palausch (Germany) and forward Bjorn Sigurdarson (Iceland). The 2014–15 was the first season under head coach Francis Anzalone.
