The formation of the NCAC was announced at joint news conferences in Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh in February 1983. Allegheny College, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), Denison University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, Ohio Wesleyan University, and The College of Wooster were charter members in 1984, the same year that NCAC athletic conference play began.
The semifinals and championship game were played at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri (the home field of Swope Park Rangers, the USL affiliate of MLS's Sporting Kansas City) from December 4–5, 2015 while the preceding rounds were played at various sites across the country during November 2015.

The Lowry Center (formerly Kenyon Athletic Center) [1] is an athletic center and student union serving the Kenyon College and Gambier village communities in Ohio. It was designed by architect Graham Gund and opened to the public on 25 January 2006. [ 2 ]
