Glenn. Like many people, I was excited and really looking forward to having access to watch all 279 episodes of The Carol Burnett Show. Once they became available on the website for streaming, I was very disappointed to discover that every episode that originally ran app. 50 minutes (minus commercials) has been edited down to app. 22 minutes.

There is a book published by Bear Manor Media called "The Carol Burnett Show Companion" by Wesley Hyatt. It has detailed info on a majority of the shows. Using that and recognizing which season and which guest star helps complete the picture. Also, Folk keeps going back and re-structuring the format.
Time Life then released a Christmas With Carol DVD (from seasons 6-11) that contained one previously released episode and one new to DVD episode. The final Time Life set for seasons 6-11 was the Carol's Crack Ups set. This was a 6 disc set that again had a mixture of previously released and new to DVD episodes.

For that price it should be the whole series, certainly more than just 50 best of's. I'm really disappointed. Well, to each his own. For $9.09 a disc, or $3.99 per uncut hour-long episode, NOT even counting all the bonus ...
I used the left over sketches and made episodes to sort of fill in the gaps. Thus I ended up with 35 episodes that have not been released on DVD. Also, the MeTV airings only cover seasons 6-10. For some unknown reason they did not get the syndicated package that contained the additional 27 episodes that were put together from season 11.
There's also a "Carol Burnett Channel" on the multi-channel streaming channel STIRR. It's a single "channel" on your streaming device, but it has multiple 'channels' embedded within it, like the similar PLUTO-TV. I'm sure there's international limitations there, too. Just thought I'd throw that...
After watching the TV specail the other night I sure would love to have the best of Harvey Corman or the best of the show so I can show my kids some day what their Dad loved to watch on TV. I saw a VHS Tape that they advertised during the show (through columbia house) But I would love to have...
The Carol Burnett Show Companion lists a Dentist sketch for both shows (120 and 513). So, I'm confused as to which episode is actually going to be on the disc. The Dentist sketch released on both of the large Time Life sets says the air date is March 3, 1969 and is from show #120. Last edited: Feb 18, 2017.
