There are three parks within the City: Webster’s Park near downtown; Memorial Park off South Church Street near the southern city limits; and Will Carleton Park at the north edge of the City off Cadmus Road. All three feature picnic shelters, playgrounds, ball fields and restrooms.
Located in Lyon Township, the park features a day-use area with picnic shelter and playground; volleyball, pickleball courts, horseshoes pits, and soccer and cricket fields; 6 miles of natural trails for biking, cross-country skiing and on-leash dog walking; and a 13-acre, fenced dog park for off-leash fun.

Lake Hudson Recreation Area, located near the Ohio border, surrounds the park’s namesake no-wake lake and is home to a designated dark sky preserve, a semimodern campground, a designated swim beach, a boating access site, a 1.5-mile trail and more. The park is also popular for fishing – and known for muskie – paddling, hunting and more.
Enjoy a large Olympic-sized swimming pool, basketball, tennis and shuffleboard courts. Winter activities include ice skating, sledding, and cross-country skiing. A winding 4.5 mile hike/bike trail circles the park and is connected to Oakwoods and Lower Huron Metropark for a 30-mile round trip trail.
