He joined the University of Utah faculty in 2007, where he was later appointed associate dean for academic affairs and Hugh B. Brown Presidential Endowed Chair in Law within the S.J. Quinney College of Law. [1] In 2019, Davies succeeded Alan C. Michaels as dean of Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law. [2]
Before joining the Ohio State faculty in 1969, he was a research scholar at Moscow State University, and a research associate in comparative law at Harvard Law School. Professor Quigley teaches international law and comparative law. Professor Quigley holds an adjunct appointment in the Political Science Department. [1]
In 1900, in light of its expanded focus, the college permanently changed its name to the now-familiar "The Ohio State University". Ohio State began accepting graduate students in the 1880s, with the university awarding its first master's and doctoral degrees in 1886 and 1890 respectively. 1891 saw the founding of Ohio State's law school.
