"Heaven" is the debut single by South Korean singer Ailee for her extended play Invitation (2012). Recorded in two languages (Korean and Japanese), the Korean version premiered as the lead single from the EP through YMC Entertainment on February 9, 2012, while the Japanese standalone CD single was released on November 6, 2013, via Warner Music Japan.
Ailee was born in Denver, Colorado, on May 30, 1989, and grew up in New Jersey. [3] She attended Palisades Park High School before moving to nearby Leonia.After her Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School graduation, she studied communications at Pace University [4] before dropping out to pursue a career in music.
On February 6, the music video teaser for Ailee's debut song, "Heaven", was released. "Heaven" was written and produced by Wheesung. On February 9, Ailee released the song and the music video, which featured Beast's Lee Gi-kwang. Later that day, she made her debut stage performance of "Heaven" on M Countdown, [4] and then on Show!
