  2. Solved: Slow speed using AC1750 (R6400 v1) router - Netgear

    community.netgear.com/t5/SMART-Wi-Fi-General-and-Legacy/...

I connected this new modem to my AC1750 router via the new ethernet cable that came with the new modem. I have the latest firmware (V1.0.1.78_1.0.50) on the router. I use the Netgear Nighthawk app on my iPhone to log into the router and use the Internet Speed test function in the app. I believe this is testing the speed from the router to my ISP.

I bought a new Netgear AC1750/R6400 to replace my Netgear WNDR3700v3 and have been trying to install it all day. I am having the same problem many others seem to be having. It will not connect to the internet. I've tried all the tips I've seen in this forum and on the Genie screens, nothing works. I even did a factory reset to the router.

We exchanged the C6300 for the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (Model #C7000) for about $10 more than the AC1750 / C6300 and it has worked flawlessly since we connected it. No drops of wifi and my doorbell camera connects with no problem. The reach is fine. There is definitely an issue with the C6300 model. Sorry you missed your window of return!

After a few beers, I took the coaxial cable out of the AC1750, rebooted it, used an ethernet cable and plugged it into my router and used the 192.168.0.1 and logged in. Under settings, it had Router Mode - off, so i turned it on. let it do its thing for a bit, then plugged in the coaxial cable and now it all works just fine.
