In the spring of 1970, a new $300,000 facility was erected by the Jefferson County Board of Education to house the Wenonah Area Vocational School. The building was located on the southwest side of the Wenonah High School campus. In 1973, Wenonah grew to a record enrollment of 1,400 students and in 1974 was annexed into the city of Birmingham.
Ephraim attended Wenonah High School, [3] where he played center on offense and defensive end on defense. [4] He was also the starting center on the school's basketball team. [4] He was on the baseball and track teams as well. [4] In 1998, as a senior he was selected as the Class 6A Offensive Lineman of the Year. [5]
Wilson attended Wenonah High School in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was primarily a basketball star, earning first-team Parade All-American honors in 2013. He joined the football team in his senior season, when he caught 31 passes for 682 yards and helped lead the Dragons to a 10–2 season.

That school, renamed "Powell School" became a high school when the next school were constructed in 1883. John H. Phillips became superintendent of schools that year and, two years later, oversaw the formation of the first Birmingham Board of Education, taking responsibility for schools out of the direct purview of the mayor and Board of Aldermen.
Born to Joseph and Wanda Webb, Joe Webb attended Ensley High School from 2001 to 2004. [2] He transferred to Wenonah High School in 2004, where he was named honorable mention Class 5A All-State by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. [3]
Williams attended Wenonah High School in Birmingham, Alabama. His mother died of breast cancer in 2010. [ 1 ] He was rated as a four-star prospect and the 17th best defensive tackle in the country for the class of 2016 by the 247Sports Composite . [ 2 ]
