The ICC Men's T20 Team Rankings is an international Twenty20 cricket rankings system of the International Cricket Council. [1] After every Twenty20 International (T20I) match, the two teams involved receive points based on a mathematical formula.
The top ranked Test team was previously awarded the ICC Test Championship mace, until the inauguration of ICC World Test Championship. From 2003 to 2019, the mace was transferred whenever a new team moved to the top of the rating list. [1] The team that was top of the ratings table on 1 April each year also won a cash prize. [2]
As of 7 August 2024, India leads the ICC Men's ODI Team Rankings, with a rating of 118 from 45 weighted matches, while the lowest rated team, UAE, has a rating of 12 from 30 weighted matches. Until 2013, the team ranked number one at the annual 1 April cut-off date received the ICC ODI Championship Shield and prize money. [2]
