Nederland Independent School District is a public school district based in Nederland, Texas . Originally organized in 1920, the Nederland Independent School District has served the community for 100 years. The first school was built on grounds donated by Mr. Bluitt Langham, which is located at the current playground of Langham Elementary.

Bryan Adams High School opened in 1957 and was named after William Jennings Bryan Adams, a DISD Board of Education secretary from 1929 until his death in 1955. [4] The building was constructed at a cost of US$2.4 million [5] and was designed by the architectural firm of Goodwin & Cavitt using the same pattern as their building for Thomas Jefferson High School, which opened in 1955.
