He graduated from Biola in 1951 with a degree in theology, and then attended Pepperdine University on a basketball scholarship, where he received a bachelor's and master's degree. Barry H. Corey (born November 28, 1961) is the eighth and current president of Biola University, located in Southern California. [1] Corey became Biola's president on July 1, 2007, succeeding Clyde Cook , who retired after serving as Biola's president for 25 years.
Cook served on the Biola board of trustees from 1980 to 1982 when he was invited by a unanimous vote of the board to assume the seventh presidency of Biola University on June 1, 1982. Cook served for seven years on the board of directors of the Christian College Coalition , and one year as its chair.
