"I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" is a song by English rock band Arctic Monkeys released on 17 October 2005 through Domino Recording Company. The song was the band's debut single and the first from their debut studio album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006).
"A Certain Romance" is a song by English rock band Arctic Monkeys written by frontman Alex Turner and composed by the band. It is a re-recorded version of a 2004 demo, and serves as the closing track of their 2006 debut studio album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.
It is the only Arctic Monkeys album to feature bassist Andy Nicholson, as he left the band shortly after the album's release. Forming in 2002, Arctic Monkeys frequently gave away free demo CDs to fans at gigs, which resulted in the fans uploading the band's music to social media sites.
The song was released as the first single from their fourth studio album Suck It and See and was released as a digital download on 12 April 2011. [5] On 16 April, a "limited-edition white-label seven-inch vinyl version" was released followed by the formal release "on standard seven – and 10-inch vinyl single formats" on 30 May. [6]
Andy James Nicholson (born 9 April 1986) is an English musician, DJ, record producer, and photographer, best known as the original bassist of rock band Arctic Monkeys, which he left in 2006. In 2008, he founded Mongrel with Jon McClure of Reverend and The Makers . [ 1 ]
By 2012, Arctic Monkeys were based in Los Angeles, with Turner and Helders sharing a house. [109] Arctic Monkeys toured the US as the support act for the Black Keys in early 2012. While they had previously opened for Oasis and Queens of the Stone Age at one-off shows, it was the band's first time to tour as a supporting act. [110]
On 30 August 2013, an audio track of the single's B-side, "Stop the World I Wanna Get Off with You", was released onto Arctic Monkeys' official YouTube channel. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] An accompanying music video was shot for the song by Nabil Elderkin and released in July 2013.
