Kut Klose is an American R&B trio that formed in Atlanta, Georgia. The three female singers that made up the group were Athena Cage , Lavonn Battle and Tabitha Duncan. They were originally discovered by singer Keith Sweat , who also served as one of the producers on their debut album Surrender (1995).
She was also bestowed with the title Kentucky Colonel by Ernie Fletcher, the Governor of Kentucky.In 2004, Second Street in Russellville, where she grew up, was renamed to "Athena Cage Way" to honor her community work, youth service and efforts to restore the Old Logan Theater.
Surrender is the debut and only studio album by American R&B group Kut Klose. [3] It was released on March 14, 1995, through Elektra Records, and was primarily produced by the group's mentor Keith Sweat. [4] The album was met with mild commercial success, making it to three Billboard charts and peaking at number 66 on the Billboard 200.
"I Like" is a song performed by American R&B group Kut Klose, issued as the first single from their debut studio album Surrender. Co-written by group member Tabitha Duncan, [2] the song was their only hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 34 in 1995. [3]
