Mousetrap Heart is the third studio album by Australian rock band Thirsty Merc. It was released on 18 June 2010, through Warner Music Australia . The title track was released as the first single on 21 May 2010.

Thistlethwayte and the band's live performances are known for their high energy and strong musicianship. The "Mousetrap Heart" era led the band to numerous tours, the largest being an extensive, multi city and regional tour of Australia and New Zealand. This tour was called the "Rock Your Socks Off Tour" and ended in mid November 2011.

Smith first met Rai Thistlethwayte, lead singer of Thirsty Merc, at a gig in Sydney and went on to work with Rai on his solo tour.After Sean, lead guitarist for Thirsty Merc, left the band indefinitely, Smith was asked to record the album Mousetrap Heart with the rest of the band in Los Angeles.
