"Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church" – The historic old adobe mission was built in 1933 and is located at 3817 N. Brown St.. The church is listed in the Scottsdale Historic Register and on September 24, 2018, was listed in the National Register of Historic Places, ref. #100002979.

Scottsdale Christian Academy was founded by Scottsdale Bible Church in 1968, with an enrollment of only 47 students in first through fourth grade. In 1972, SCA became independent of Scottsdale Bible Church and became a non-profit organization. In 1973, the high school was added, and enrollment increased to 275 students.
In February 2016, Community Church of Joy, a former Lutheran congregation in Glendale, Arizona, merged with Dream City Church. [2] [7] By 2021, Dream City had opened eight campuses in different cities. [8] In November 2018, CBS News listed Dream City Church as the 14th largest megachurch in the United States with about 21,000 weekly visitors. [9]

John Gardiner’s Tennis Ranch started an annual Senator’s Cup, which included matches between Democratic and Republican senators with all the proceeds going to Hospice of the Valley. Gardiner sold his share in the resort in 1993.
