Robeson started its existence with kitchen and staple ware and also ended there. Ironically, domestic pocket knife manufacture returned to Camillus, NY where it originated in 1896. But, during the peak years from 1900 to 1965, The Robeson Cutlery Co. designed and produced one of the highest quality and undisputed BEST pocket knives ever made.
The 3055 pattern is a three blade knife known by collectors as a Wharncliff Whittler. It measures 3 5/8" closed & was introduced in the regular Case Classic line in 1994. There are three Wharncliff style Case Classic knife patterns. The others include the 355 & 30055 pattern. This version is the middle sized variety.
Steel doesn't matter and there are a ton of choices from plain old mineral oil to high tech lubes with Teflon to motor oil, etc. Go with something food safe if you use your knives to cut food. Everybody has their favorite lube for pocket knives so just pick a few, do a little research, and make your choice. Quick Release works good for me but ...

Sargent's 7th edition is the most recent, and best IMHO, for vintage Case XX, Tested, and prior era Case knives plus almost 200 pages on Queen. It's also become very expensive and hard to find. The Sargent's 6th edition is also very good for Case (not as good as the 7th edition but still very good), Queen, and contains about a 90 page section ...
