The list also includes lime kilns which are listed in local or state historic registers, and ones not registered at all.
Kiln's population grew from 1,262 people in 1990 [12] to 2,040 by the end of the century, [13] nearly a 62% increase in population over the decade. The township is in southeastern McLeod County, bordered to the south by Sibley County and to the east by Carver County. It is bordered on its west side by the city of Glencoe , the county seat . The city of Plato is surrounded by the eastern part of the township but is a separate municipality.
