Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment, or MOLLE (pronounced / ˈ m ɒ l. l iː / MOL-lee), is the current generation of load-bearing equipment used by a number of NATO armed forces, especially the British Army and the United States Army since the late 1990s.
Since the rucksack was the first component of the program to be issued to Marines, the rucksack is commonly referred to as simply the ILBE.
