The FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship was the premier championship of Rally raid racing, organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), from 1999 to 2021 (from 1999 and 2002 as World Cup). Asides the main championship, there were World Cups for the following categories: Quads, Women, Junior, and over 450 cc. [1]
The 2021 FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship was the 18th and final season of the FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship, an international rally raid competition for motorbikes and quads. Due to COVID-19 pandemic all events in the previous season were cancelled.
The calendar for the 2019 season featured four long-distance rally raid events; including one marathon event in the Silk Way Rally. [1] [2] Some of the events were also part of 2019 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies.

From the beginning of the 2019 season the cup was once again split, with the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Bajas being held alongside the competition for "baja" style rally raids. [2] From 2022, the cup merged with the FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship to become the World Rally-Raid Championship.
Along with the main world cup for 450cc, there are world cups for the following categories: Quads, Women, and Junior. Unlike the much longer cross-country rallies, cross-country bajas generally take place in 2–3 days. As is the case with rally raid events the stages are long and arduous testing the skill and endurance of the riders. [1]
