Phyllis Ann George (June 25, 1949 – May 14, 2020) was an American businesswoman, actress, and sportscaster.In 1975, George was hired as a reporter and co-host of the CBS Sports pre-show The NFL Today, becoming one of the first women to hold an on-air position in national televised sports broadcasting.

Boone was born in Washington County, Kentucky on September 22, 1943. [1] He was raised by his grandfather who was a farmer and bootlegger during the Prohibition era. [2] Boone won state 4-H titles in high school for both sheep breeding and tobacco growing. He was a three-time football letterman and graduated in 1961.
