Samal Ilyaskyzy Yeslyamova (Kazakh: Самал Ілиясқызы Есләмова, Samal Iliiasqyzy Eslämova; born 1 September 1984) is a Kazakh film actress. She is recognized internationally for starring in the film Ayka directed by Sergey Dvortsevoy, which won her the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.

Her father, actor Talgat Nigmatulin, had Tatar and Uzbek roots, [1] and mother, actress Venera Nigmatulina was of Uyghur descent. Talgat was a fan of Bruce Lee , whose wife was named Linda. Venera at that time was fond of Linda McCartney , the first wife Paul McCartney , so the daughter was by mutual consent called Linda.
