The San Francisco Choral Society (SF Choral) is a nonprofit organization comprising 150-200 auditioned, volunteer singers dedicated to the performance of choral masterpieces and commissioned works, and accompanied by professional orchestras and soloists.

During its first decade, Louis Magor served as the SFS Chorus director. Magor was succeeded in 1982 by the director of the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Margaret Hillis.In 1983, Hillis was succeeded by Vance George who served as Chorus Director for twenty-three years until his retirement in 2006. [1]

Masterworks Chorale is one of the oldest choruses in Northern California. Founded in 1964 [1] by Galen Marshall (born 1934 in Greensburg, Kansas and died December 4, 2014), and currently conducted by Dr. Bryan Baker, the mixed chorus presently consists of 120 members, and performs a wide variety of music from the Renaissance and Baroque to modern masterpieces.
