The Texas Longhorns football team competes as part of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), representing the University of Texas in the Big 12 Conference. Since the establishment of the team in 1893, Texas has appeared in 62 bowl games with a record of 33-26-2.
The Chancellor's Spurs is the trophy awarded to the winner of the game. The trophy is a set of spurs exchanged between the chancellors of the University of Texas System and Texas Tech University System.
