That’s strange. If it’s the official Chrome app, then it should be usable on your MacBook Air in the US. If you weren’t using the App Store, use the App Store to download Chrome, and look for the Apple Silicon version. That might help.

How to download Chrome for iMac I have an iMach 24 inch M1, 2021 with macOS Monterey. One of the websites I need to access gives me a message saying it is not supported by Safari, and I need to download Chrome 72 or later. I do not see Chrome listed in the App Store. Is there another way I can safely download it? Thank you!

I figured it out on my own with some user tips online, but it had to do with the read/write permissions on the file. What was happening was that after installation, Chrome would show up in the application folder but I couldn’t open the application to get a Chrome browser window. Once I changed all permissions to Read & Write, it opened.

The odd item is my MacBook Pro 2018 laptop has the same version as my iMac and it downloads everything just fine. My iMac is a newer 2019 with Big Sur 11.6 as well and I haven't been able to download using Google Chrome since I set up my gently used iMac last week.
