The California Maritime Academy Corps of Cadets is the undergraduate student body at the California Maritime Academy.As a State Maritime Academy, as required by Title 46 Part 310 of the Code of Federal Regulations students are considered Cadets, required to wear uniforms, and utilize a demerit-based disciplinary system.
The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC or NSCC) is a congressionally chartered, U.S. Navy–sponsored organization that serves to involve individuals in the sea-going military services, U.S. naval operations and training, community service, citizenship, and teach an understanding of discipline and teamwork.
It was originally located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, California. [2] In 1936, the academy moved to Carlsbad, California and opened as the Davis Military Academy, but a year later was again renamed the San Diego Army and Navy Academy.
