California High School (CHS) is a public high school in South Whittier, California and belongs to the Whittier Union High School District. "Calhi", as it is known, is home to the Condors, with around 2,250 students currently attending. The mascot is the condor and the school colors are navy and gold.
Wilson was built in 1951 [2] and opened in 1955 as an intermediate school. [6] In 1982, it reopened as an alternative school with several renovations, including a new administration building. [2] The school is named for William A. Wilson Sr., a local bakery owner and longtime Santa Clara High School board president. [6] [7] [8]
