Adirondack Trust was founded in 1901 by New York State Senator Edgar T. Brackett with capital of $100,000 and surplus of $50,000. [5] The bank officially opened its doors on January 2, 1902, at the Westcott Building, a three-story brick building on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, the same location where the bank stands today.
