Jacques Andreani was born in Paris. He graduated from the Sciences Po, ENA.From there, after working one year in Paris to learn basic Russian and to study Eastern European problems, he was assigned to Moscow, where he stayed during some of the most difficult periods of the Cold War – the construction of the Berlin wall and the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.
Isabelle Andréani (18 February 1923 – 3 June 2018) was a French operatic mezzo-soprano and voice teacher. She was a member of the Paris Opera troupe from the mid-1950s, appearing in the title role of Bizet's Carmen in 1960, which became her signature role, also for international performances.
