Alpha Tau Omega (ΑΤΩ), commonly known as ATO, is an American social fraternity founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1865 by Otis Allan Glazebrook. The fraternity has around 250 active and inactive chapters and colonies in the United States and has initiated more than 229,000 members. [ 1 ]
Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity House was in Collegiate Gothic style designed by architect Robert Frost Daggett, an ATO member from the University of Pennsylvania chapter and member of the Indianapolis architectural firm R. P. Daggett & Co. [3] [2]: 10 Daggett was the first person from the state of Indiana to be admitted to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, graduating from there in 1901.
The ATO Delta Iota chapter house was designed by Reno architect Lehman "Monk" Ferris. [1] [2] Ferris was a member of Phi Delta Tau, the predecessor of the Delta Iota chapter.
