You are not being charged $5.99/month for the Roku Channel but are being charged by Roku for a subscription for another app paid through Roku. Login to your Roku account on a computer or phone and check your subscriptions. When you find the subscription you can cancel there.

Please be advised that Roku devices don't have monthly fees for watching free channels, like The Roku Channel, which offers over 350 live TV channels. Roku Charges. I have a total of $97.40 charges for Roku channel through my checking bank from 12/2022 through 7/2024. I have purchased other channels and paid them separately. Roku said because I used Roku to watch these other channels through Roku channel that was why I was charged for the Roku Channel. No where have I seen these to be true
I am being billed approximately $20 per month by Roku. My TV provider is Hulu, so why am I being charged by Roku every month? What is the $20 a month charge for and can I cancel it and still use my Roku devices to access Hulu??
@Baby21, Roku devices (players and TVs) are completely free to use. There's no such thing as a "Roku" subscription, but some services (Netflix, Peacock, Paramount+, etc.) require a subscription. There's plenty of free (often ad-supported) content available without ever paying a dime once you buy the Roku device. Watch out for scams!
