When marketwatch and similar sites first started, they needed some serious software to create the kind of sites that could accommodate many writers, scale to high traffic loads, and provide all the necessary stats and metrics. I remember looking into one of the more popular programs 15 years ago called Vignette.
Where I sit they created a whole new front page. Next (example), I will click on the Coke (KO) summary page, they have moved everything to different places. I can get use to that...I have to every few years, when they change their website. Here is the problem. I'll click on the option page of KO. It shows the calls and puts like before.
I am unable to pull up options on their new (free) website... I would use the site to get an idea where bid/asks were at, for a stock/option. Their site is not working...locked up. It was fine for general information (corporation and link to the corporation's website). Sad...They "made it better", but it is now unusable!!!
