A while ago, accidentally I pressed the upgrade to windows 11 button in Windows 10 and now my Windows 11 upgrade is downloading. Still, its status is downloading. I paused the updates to stop it from being downloaded, but as soon as I resume the updates, again it's starting to download.

Well, in fact, Windows Photo Viewer is available on all Windows 10 including 21H2 and on Windows 11, too. The main problem, that it is hidden, and cannot be chosen from Open With context menu. To achieve this I would recommend to read the following article by Ashwin.

I have the same issue. MS Surface Laptop Go, 9 months old. Up date Settings said Win 11 was ready for download. Went to download - after a while it said something about Win 10 needing updating first. Did that, went to download Win 11 again - said download in progress, left the machine to do its thing, came back an hour later and nothing.
To do a clean install I had to download Windows 11 and put it onto a bootable USB. Not every USB will work which I found out the hard way and also, it has to boot from a USB that's formatted as ex32FAT. No files over 4gbs in size can go on an exFAT32 drive and one of the files in the Windows 11 installation is over 4gbs so I had to split the ...
