  4. Why is my Experian score so much lower than my other two scores

    ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Why-is...

Why is my Experian score so much lower than my other two scores. I have been checking my credit once my student loans were paid off and all my credit scores went up. Equifax: 761, Transunion: 756, and Experian: 671. I was trying to figure out why Experian is lagging behind the other two. I looked through all three credit reports and couldn't ...

If a balance is reported, then it "could" negatively effect the overall (aggregate) utilization against the amount of credit being used overall. Hope that makes sense. Others will chime in and probably explain in a better way. But then again this is my understanding of the card and its reporting.

  6. Is there a place to see your credit score history?

Re: Is there a place to see your credit score history? A credit score is only a moment in time snapshot and it's a snapshot of the current time. There's no way that I know of to run a score using an old report; the only report you can use for a score is what it is currently. 07-19-2018 07:12 AM.

E.g. have 1/6 or 2/6 cards report a balance, but not 3/6 or more. And for balances, typically the lower the better. Both overall utilization and utilization on each card matter -- for instance, if one card reports a balance of over 50%, even if overall utilization remains low, you'll see a bit of a drop. But utilization has no memory, so if you ...

  8. Balance tranfer of 17k; credit score dropped 144 points

    ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/...

Credit score drops were all from my CC . Chase /capital/amex express. Then I checked Ex and Equifax . Scores are 710-720. Still 90 + drops. I just have to pay 52% of 17k back. I donot want to wait anymore. So personal balance transfer is a joke. When I initiated the citi BT (online) it won't let me choose like 48% of the 17 K. Then the score ...

  9. Credit Score stuck at 680 - myFICO® Forums - 6224246

Re: Credit Score stuck at 680. With a $1000 balance on a total of $7600 in credit, you're carrying a hair over 13% utilization. If you pay that down to $608 you'd be at 8%, which is in the ideal range (under 9% aggregate usage), and that would give you a boost of probably 10-15 points. Message 5 of 10. 0 Kudos.

  10. Question about FICO score ranges that go up to 900

    ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/...

I've wondered what exactly it means when someone has a score between 851 and 900 on the auto and credit-card enhanced versions. Does the range of 851 to 900 just indicate a super premium buyer (so a perfect 850+50), or would you take: FICO Classic: 720/850 = 0.847. FICO Bankcard: 900 X 0.847 = 762.3. So to have an equivalent 720 FICO score on ...

Re: AMEX Platinum - Credit Score Impact. That's not how the Amex platinum works re your utilization. Since there is no credit limit, it isn't factored into your utilization at all. It looks and feels like a loan credit line. It's not treated like a credit card. I've had a Amex Platinum since 2020 and it has never factored into my utilization %.
