Mudunkotuwa Munasinghe Arachchige Leelawathi Perera (Sinhala: වසන්තා සන්දනායක; 18 October 1917 – 24 November 2000), popularly known by her stage name Wasantha Sandanayake, was a Sri Lankan singer, primarily worked as a playback singer in Sinhala film industry. [1]

Upali Kannangara (5 January 1951 – 12 December 2018: Sinhala: උපාලි කන්නංගර), was a Sri Lankan musician, singer and accompanist. [2] Starting as a guitar player, Kannangara became one of the most popular singers in Sri Lanka particularly in the outdoor musicals with popular songs such as Iwasillak Na Dakina Thura, Dumbara Mitiyawatha, Parata Kittuwa and Gele Ranmala.
He popularized as a singer in 1992 with the song Sanda Kumariyak Digeka Yanawa and made his mark in open stages and television music industry. [6] Some of his most popular songs include Sigiriye Kurutu Geetha , Oba Hamuwu Dine , Sudu Mal Pokurak , Sadarenu Wahena and Samudenna Samuganna Nam .
