Healthy Homes Australia is an Australian lifestyle television series aired for its debut on Network Ten on 24 January 2015 every Saturday for 13 episodes. In 2019 season 8 will broadcast. It is presented by Walt Collins and Dani Wales. The series is based around home, garden, building and construction and enjoys solid ratings.
Mariameno Kapa-Kingi (born 1960 or 1961) is a New Zealand politician who was elected to the New Zealand parliament at the 2023 general election as the MP for Te Tai Tokerau representing Te Pāti Māori. After several decades in iwi social and health services, she first stood for parliament in the 2020 general election.
Ngātiwai trace their ancestry to one of the earliest settlers of Te Tai-tokerau, Manaia, who was, according to legend, transformed into stone, with his family and servant Paekō, atop Mount Manaia beside Whangārei Harbour. His descendant Manaia II, some 14 generations later, was the rangatira of Ngāti Manaia established. [citation needed]
Te Tai Tokerau's boundaries are similar to those of the pre-Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) Northern Maori electorate. Te Tai Tokerau was created ahead of the first MMP election in 1996. In the 2002 boundary redistribution, the size of the electorate shrank to make room for an increase in the number of Māori electorates from six to seven. [1]
Te Pīhopatanga comes under the episcopal leadership of te Pīhopa o (the Bishop of) Te Tai Tokerau. Kito Pikaahu ONZM was ordained bishop on 24 February 2002 [1] at the age of 37 and remains one of the youngest bishops in the Anglican Communion. Ben Te Haara [2] was the first Pīhopa, from his 7 March 1992 consecration until 2001. [1]
Te Tai Tokerau Māori are a group of Māori iwi (tribes) based on the Northland Peninsula of New Zealand's North Island. It includes the far northern Muriwhenua iwi (tribes) of Te Aupōuri, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Kurī, Te Pātū, Te Rarawa and Ngāi Takoto. It also includes Ngāpuhi and the affiliated iwi of Ngāti Hine.
The original name, still used by local Māori, is Te Kohanga o Te Tai Tokerau ("the nest of the northern people") or Te Puna o Te Ao Marama ("the wellspring in the world of light"). The full name of the harbour is Te Hokianga-nui-a-Kupe — "the place of Kupe's great return".
Ngāti Pūkenga is a Māori iwi centred in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand. [1] Its rohe (tribal area) extends to Mayor Island / Tuhua and Waihi in the north, to the Kaimai Range in the west, south of Te Puke and to Maketu in the east, and it has tribal holdings in Whangārei, Hauraki and Maketu.
