Celsius is the codename for a GPU microarchitecture developed by Nvidia, and released in 1999 microarchitecture. It was named with reference to Celsius and used with the GeForce 256 and GeForce 2 series .
GDDR5X SDRAM on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. Video random-access memory (VRAM) is dedicated computer memory used to store the pixels and other graphics data as a framebuffer to be rendered on a computer monitor. [1] It often uses a different technology than other computer memory, in order to be read quickly for display on a screen.
A static amount of 256 MiB of system RAM used as VRAM. Supported DirectX 10.1 instead of 10.0, unlike earlier chipsets. Similarly, audio w/ video is supported over its mini-DP port, whereas prior chipsets only supported video out. Up to 16 GB of RAM can be used, official Apple documentation is incorrect.

The products are based on an updated Tesla microarchitecture, adding PCI Express 2.0 support, improved color and z-compression, and built on a 65 nm process, later using 55 nm process to reduce power consumption and die size (GeForce 8 G8x GPUs only supported PCIe 1.1 and were built on 90 nm process or 80 nm process).
It is otherwise equal to 24-bit colour. Many GPUs use 32-bit colour mode instead of 24-bit mode merely for faster video memory access through 32-bit memory alignment. VGA= 864 [ 352 (0160h)] also appears to select 1280 ×800 (8-bit) for various laptops' displays. VGA= 834 [ 322 (0142h)] is 1400 × 1050
A notable exception was the IBM PC. Graphics display was facilitated by the use of an expansion card with its own memory plugged into an ISA slot. The first IBM PC to use the SMA was the IBM PCjr, released in 1984. Video memory was shared with the first 128 KiB of RAM. The exact size of the video memory could be reconfigured by software to meet ...
The GeForce 700 series (stylized as GEFORCE GTX 700 SERIES) is a series of graphics processing units developed by Nvidia. While mainly a refresh of the Kepler microarchitecture (GK-codenamed chips), some cards use Fermi (GF) and later cards use Maxwell (GM).
