The University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, Fox Cities Campus (abbreviated as UWO Fox Cities and formerly known as the University of Wisconsin–Fox Valley) is a branch campus of the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and a member of the Universities of Wisconsin. It is located on 41 acres (17 ha) in Menasha, Wisconsin.
Originally named Christ the King College, the school was founded to provide the all-male seminary with education in the liberal arts. The school was founded in 1954 and first began holding classes in 1955. [4] King's is the largest affiliated college of the University of Western Ontario and enrolls 3,500 students.
The medical school at the University of Western Ontario was founded under the guidance of Bishop Isaac Hellmuth in 1881. At the time, the university was already at capacity with other departments, so most lectures were to be taken place in a small, five-room cottage. The first lecture was given on October 1, 1882. [3]
