Gibbs High School is a public high school located in Corryton, Tennessee, United States. The school was founded in 1913 in a two-story brick building built on 12 acres; it burned down in 1937. The second building burned down 13 years later in 1950. The third and current school is near the intersection of Tazewell Pike and East Emory Road.
Tazewell is a town in and the county seat of Claiborne County, Tennessee, United States. [8] The population was 2,165 at the 2000 census, 2,218 at the 2010 census, and 2,348 at the 2020 census. The town is named for Tazewell, Virginia , which itself was named for Henry Tazewell (1753–1799), a U.S. senator from Virginia .
Most of the base housing is in Kentucky, the school was originally on the Kentucky side of the base, and it is operated by the Kentucky District of the U.S. Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools, along with all other schools on Fort Campbell and the schools on the Fort Knox base situated entirely in Kentucky.

Claiborne County was established on October 29, 1801, created from Grainger and Hawkins counties and extended the southern boundary to Anderson County.It was named for Virginia tidewater aristocrat William C. C. Claiborne, one of the first judges of the Tennessee Superior Court and one of the first representatives in U.S. Congress from Tennessee.
The primary campus is located in Morristown, while satellite branches are found in Sevierville, Greeneville, and New Tazewell. In mid-2010, the Claiborne extension moved into the former Claiborne County High School building. In late 2020, Walters State opened a campus in Cocke County, at the Tanner Building in Newport.
