Re: Wall of Light spell: I have questions. It is important to note that the wall can be created in thin air. So at about 10’ above your head in a ceiling type formation, it does wonders to blind giant sized attackers while you and your allies attack their feet unhindered.

Light and Darkness Clarification Guide. Just a quick list of every light source and spell I could find. Easy to keep track of which spell dispels each other. There are 3 spells that conjure ACTUAL sunlight, and "Daylight" isn't one of them. First one shows up at 5th level, via Dawn. Keep in mind that upcasting spells may move these around a bit.

    forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?603954-Ways-to-create-Dim-Light-Darkness

Dim light, also called shadows, creates a lightly obscured area. An area of dim light is usually a boundary between a source of bright light, such as a torch, and surrounding Darkness. The soft light of twilight and dawn also counts as dim light. A particularly brilliant full moon might bathe the land in dim light. Anything like that or darker ...

The PCs are inside the Wall of Force with 5 Hobgoblins casters (a war priest and a few others). In the future sessions they are going to come across enemies with Wall of Force (blue Abishais notably), and I don't want every fight to become a boring cakewalk or a awful PC death dependiong on whether someone has access to Desintegration.

  6. Re: Unleash Your Inner Beast: A Moon Druid Guide (5e) If you are planning to cast a spell, you cast the spell during Turn 1, then Wildshape. During Turn 2, you Rage & Attack. The Rage hasn't slowed anything down. Then you don't have your super defense array up in turn 1, which is 20-33% of a typical combat.

Bright light lets most creatures see normally. Even gloomy days provide bright light, as do torches, lanterns, fires, and other sources of illumination within a specific radius. Dim light, also called shadows, creates a lightly obscured area. An area of dim light is usually a boundary between a source of bright light, such as a torch, and ...

Block a doorway with a wolf spider’s web tunnel and 10 red glowing eyes. Have a few hairy legs visible with vicious claws glinting in the light. If you have Silent Image you get motion opening up a smaller Lovecraftian Evard’s Black Tentacles or some portal with faces covered in black oil trying to scream but only burbles ooze out.

The spell creates a huge bonfire. Fire generates light and heat. We have plenty of guidelines to determine at least a range within which its light radii make sense. It certainly generates at least as much light as a torch, and probably no more than a daylight spell. 2022-05-03, 06:50 AM (ISO 8601) Spoilers.
