Cagayancillo is the smallest municipality in the province of Palawan with a total land area of only 2,639 hectares (6,520 acres) as of 2007. It is composed of 31 islands and islets and is politically subdivided into 12 barangays and two island sitios (Cavili and Calusa) included under the political jurisdiction of Magsaysay.

The Mangsee Islands are a group of two small islands in the far south west portion of the Philippines. The group comprises North Mangsee Island and South Mangsee Island. Together they form a barangay within the Balabac, a municipality of the province of Palawan. Based on the 2010 Census, the population of the Mangsee Islands was 8,433.
