The Metlife Centre is a 28-floor, 118 ft skyscraper in Cape Town, South Africa. Construction work on the skyscraper was completed in 1993. [1] The building will be converted into a residential complex which will be named The Sky Hotel 3. Work to renovate the building began at the beginning of 2020. [2]

Dulcie Howes was born in Little Brak River, a seaside town at the mouth of the Little Brak River (Klein-Brakrivier, in Afrikaans), from which it takes its name. Located only a few miles north of Mossel Bay, a thriving harbor town established when Europeans first landed in southern Africa, Little Brak River was then a British colonial outpost, as the area was part of the Cape Colony until 1910.
The Artscape Theatre Centre is also the home of Fine Music Radio and oversees the Maynardville Open-Air Theatre in Wynberg, Cape Town. It also houses the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cape Town Opera. The Cape Town City Ballet also performs there. [3]

Gary Burne (20 April 1934 – 26 August 1976) was a Rhodesian dancer, ballet master, and choreographer who spent ten years with the Royal Ballet in England before moving to South Africa to dance with ballet companies in Johannesburg and Cape Town. [1] He also danced for a period in Toronto, Canada.
In 1986, while still performing with CAPAB Ballet, Triegaardt was appointed director of the University of Cape Town School of Dance. In addition to strengthening the program of training in classical ballet, she introduced contemporary dance and African dance majors to reflect the diversity of theatrical dance forms that had emerged in cities and towns around the country.
