Sarah Jones (born 31 August 1985) is an English musician based in London, best known for her work as a session and touring drummer. She is a founding member of NYPC, and has also served as a touring drummer for musicians such as Aynsley Lister, [1] Harry Styles, Bat for Lashes, [2] post-punk revival band Bloc Party, [3] and synthpop band Hot Chip.
Having completed a world tour in February 2009, Hot Chip returned to London and began writing and recording their fourth album, One Life Stand. In early 2009, Alexis Taylor told NME that the band recorded new songs including "Alley Cats", which the band played regularly while touring in 2008/2009.
